Over the past 22 years, my career in safety and security has included roles in health care security, psychiatric emergency response, corrections, casino security, behavioral health, and security consulting, as well as tribal courts. I have progressed from low-level responses to emergency situations and completed facility security and safety assessments for prominent health care organizations. My expertise has been recognized through publication in Security Magazine for health care security, a specialized field, and an interview in 2023 as one of the top de-escalation strategists. I was also published in the Journal of Healthcare Protection in 2023, with an article on de-escalation that starts with the job interview. Speaking on webinars and being interviewed on various platforms has allowed me to share my knowledge. Despite my professional achievements, nothing compares to the personal growth I have experienced as a father, stepfather, and now grandfather. Raising my children and stepchildren has been my greatest journey, and the arrival of my grandchildren marks a new and meaningful chapter for my wife and me.
